Put Some Pearl Luster Into Your Bridal Makeup

While designing makeup looks for my brides, I become inspired by the layers of amazing fabrics, lace, embroidery, jewels of their couture gowns.

When given creative freedom I then create something a bit more personalized and enriched by giving it a more dimensional and textured quality with loose ultra-shimmering highlighters that add sparkle to the eyes and cheeks. And sometimes I even add miniature pearls, because embellishing a makeup application with pearls enables me to create beautifully different, elegant and alternative looks. Pearls are naturally romantic… a symbol of endearing, enduring love. Nothing is more illusive and mysterious than pearls. Did you know that low-grade pearls are crushed up into a fine shimmery translucent powder and used as a make-up? Like the the famed ancient empresses of China, you too can create an impeccable bridal complexion by using pearls as a cosmetic.

PRO TIPS:

First I give the complexion a dewy glow by adding a sheer and light-reflecting product to achieve a youthful dewy glow, I then blend it on top of the makeup for a luminous “pearlessence.” look that is shimmery, yet photo-ready

By sticking within certain color palettes you can create looks that are absolutely perfectly crafted and utterly flawless. If you try to stick to the few rules when wearing your pearls which are, keep skin looking natural and flawless, ensure you avoid harsh colors and keep your style elegant and sophisticated.

To create some of these gorgeous looks for yourself, all you need is a latex-free eyelash glue, dull-tipped tweezers and an assorted set of of tiny to small flatback pearls (available in most craft stores). To make sure your pearls last all night, be sure to clean your lids with a quick swipe of astringent or toner to clear your skin of any oil. From there, just use your imagination for how you want to place your pearls.
