Thick eyebrows are making a big bold come-back this season and were seen across a wide variety of runways. Eyebrows really frame and define the face and pull the whole look together. Following the natural shape of your brow is generally the rule of thumb. Designer Faces – NARS: Marc Jacobs Spring 2013

Check out my top picks for fabulous gift sets with high quality formulations designed to enhance your natural radiance with limited-edition lipsticks, nail polishes and palettes – Create makeup looks that dazzle and impress! Christmas and Chanukah time is an exciting time in the beauty world. My favorite beauty brands have gone to great lengths to ensure there’s plenty to covet this Holiday season. Gift sets this year are deliberately including a more-sophisticated crowd (perfect for brides). It is also nice that many collections feature palettes and/or minis, which allow you to try a few products without committing to a full size version. In an industry that doesn’t typically discount, the holiday season represents a time to offer “value” by bundling products. These collections are designed to satisfy cravings for color and countless looks. Enjoy!

DIY Holiday Party Look Tips

The holiday season calls for a special look. Here’s some ideas that will make every night of this season that much more special. One of the hottest trends for the holidays is adding color to your eyes.  If you are not so daring, choose something that still fits your personal style but also adds a pop of color.  A perfect makeup example of a not-so-daring but still-adds-color style is simply to add a bright color eyeliner. Brides Want Silky, Soft, Beautiful Lips

My number one request from most brides is that you all want smooth, beautiful, sexy, kissable lips! If you are going for a baby soft, baby pink or nude lip look color for your big day, it is essential that you exfoliate your lips beforehand. Exfoliating dull, dry, flaky skin will help keep your lips in impeccable kissing condition for a super soft, super smooth result.

Smooth lips photograph better and lipstick stays on better.

How to Get the Softest, Smoothest, Most Kissable Lips Ever?

Silky Soft Beautiful Lips - Exfoliate With Sugar

Exfoliate With Sugar, So Sweet!

Here is a great  technique I use on models to get their lips super smooth and photo ready. I exfoliate their lips with an incredible homemade sugar scrub. And here is what you’ll need to prepare the lip exfoliation recipe: ¼ cup sugar, ¼ cup honey,  6 to 8 Vitamin E capsules, 1 tbsp. pineapple juice concentrate

Silky Soft Beautiful Lips - Sugar

Sugar acts as the abrasive and it dissolves so, no worries about “grit” getting in your mouth.

Begin preparing the lip exfoliation recipe by measuring ¼ cup of white granulated sugar into a small mixing bowl. The primary purpose of sugar in this recipe is to provide naturally strong exfoliation to your lips, helping you remove unsightly dead skin cells without causing irritation to your lips. Sugar is also a source of glycolic acid, an alpha-hydroxyl acid that penetrates deeply into skin below dead skin cells and destroys them. In addition to exfoliation glycolic acid helps attract moisture to the skin, which is crucial for lips since they lack oil glands. Continue Reading…

Lipstick Psychology: What does your lipstick say about YOU?

The inner beauty of the soul radiates outward, however a good lipstick never hurts.

Lipstick Psychology: What does your lipstick say about YOU?

Lipstick Psychology: What does your lipstick say about YOU?

Yes that’s right, the way you apply your lipstick and how you wear down the shape, can reveal fun little personality insights.

Which of the following shapes most closely resembles the state of your lipstick?

Slanted on one side with slight curve — you are reserved and love making schedules.

Slanted on one side with a large curve — you are creative, helpful, and love attention.

Sharp angle/slope tip  — you are opinionated, high-spirited, and selective.

Rounded and smooth — you are easy-going, generous, and a peacemaker.

Rounded and to a point — you are lovable, yet stubborn, and very family oriented.

Sharp point, like a pencil — you are spiritual, curious, and mysterious.

Flat top — you are to the point, dependable, and have high morals.

Concave — you are adventurous, complex, and make a great detective.

So check your lipstick and report back in.  Does it match up?
