I have always been an artist at heart. Making-up beautiful faces is one of my favorite forms of expressing my artistry. I’m so thrilled that I get to do something that I love and I feel honored to have been a part of Natisha’s special day.
Natisha wanted to look beautiful but not overdone; she wanted to glow but still look like herself. Natisha was a lovely destination bride that did not have the chance to have a trial run prior to meeting her on her wedding day. For this reason I felt it was the utmost important priority to make her feel comfortable and happy with her results of having her make-up professionally done by me. My aim was to create a stunning individual look for Natisha on her special day, guaranteeing the highest quality standard. The journey was the reward and I am so happy that I was part of this special bride’s beauty journey!

Are you bold, or are you simple? Modern or vintage? Bridal style is as unique as we are as individuals. No matter what vibe you want to channel on your big day, have I’ve got the makeup look for you!
BRIDAL MAKEOVERS has identified the most requested bridal styles. We feel that when you are able to define your wedding style, it will be much easier and certainly more productive when communicating with the experts you’ve hired to help you create the wedding look of your dreams. Your wedding experts stand ready to bring your unique vision to life. But we are not mind-readers. The dialogue, the adjectives, phrases, colors, textures, and any visuals you bring into a trial run meeting to help your beauty pros understand you and will act as a launching pad for the creative process. Working with a client who has spent more than one to two hours exploring their style and is able to describe it translates into a much more cohesive event that is a direct reflection of YOU. This is the new first step in wedding planning, the definition of your bridal style. BRIDAL MAKEOVERS by Aradia is going to help you describe your wedding look into existence. Once we understand the essence of your style, we can take it from there and completely wow you with the results of their interpretation of your style!
If you’re a romantic bride, you want a super-feminine look for the most romantic day of your life.
The Romantic Bride: She is feminine with a touch of classic style. Everything about the romantic bride is timeless. The dress is flowy and soft and of course, pastel colors for the makeup is a must! For the most romantic day of your life, you want your look to match. Go for dewy skin, huge eyes, and a delicate pout. For your hair, consider a loose up-do secured with a jewel-encrusted barrette (preferably an antique or heirloom), with soft falling tendrils gently framing your face. Or, should you decide to really romance your groom, go for long tousled curls for that super-feminine, “I–am–your–princess” look.
Free-spirited brides look to express their style in a fun, contemporary way with makeup looks that fresh.

Queen Victoria set the trends for white wedding gowns and white floral arrangements.
These stunning inspiration shoots are sure to send your heart all a flutter! The images filled with delightfully creative makeup and hairstyles in an array of subdued colored hues. Inspired brides looking for something dreamy and romantic… This blog is for you.
The term Victorian relates to the styles and attitudes during the reign of Queen Victoria (1837-1901).
Queen Victoria wed Prince Albert in 1840 and set the stage for traditional wedding ceremonies and receptions. Victorian gowns were so extravagant that brides felt like the queen herself underneath the many layers of ruffles, lace, and embellishments. Ever wonder why brides wear white? Since Queen Victoria’s wedding, white has remained the traditional color for wedding gowns.
The ethereal evanescence and the sensitivity from some of these original wedding designs, make them unique and timeless.
The Victorian dressing style and bridal fashion is considered one of the most elegant and feminine dressing trends today. The post-modern world is known to re-use or reinvent inspiration from the past. These reinventions are proof that the lace loving era is still on track with the times. It’s clear that Queen Victoria still has some influence on the world more than 100 years later. The Victorian era has resurfaced and it’s modernized in these gorgeous looks. I just love the soft hues and the dreamy, ethereal quality of some these post Victorian bridal fashion photos… Continue Reading…

It’s time for another dose of beauty, and today it comes in the form of beautiful bridal couture collections. I am blessed to be surrounded by many sources of inspiration but, I have an innate love for the detail and poetic nuances that are found in the flamboyance of Spanish design.

If you have been following my blog you probably realized by now that I’m in love with fashion history and re-invention of the past, with it’s beautifully crafted gowns and unmistakable twist on theatrics. In an era where creativity is paramount in staying ahead of the fashion curve, Spanish bridal designers have combined the best of fast forward with the beauty of tradition. I find that Spanish couturiers may very well be leading the way in over-the-top chic concepts, they evoke a shared inspiration.

The roaring decade of the 1920’s not only embodied a period of glamour and drama, it also represented the rise of the “Flapper”, the “new women” who pushed the boundaries of gender identity and represented sexual and economic freedom, something that is still appealing to young women today.
The Flapper Bride epitomizes the hedonistic subculture that made the Roaring Twenties roar!
1920’s flappers were at the forefront of the revolution that challenged Victorian attitudes towards women. They demanded the freedom to live their own lives and had a lot of fun doing it. These women wore obvious make-up, showed their knees and flung themselves into the hedonistic rhythms of Jazz and the Charleston. They threw away their restrictive corsets, cut their hair, smoked, wore trousers and drove fast cars. Life was fun and meant for living!
Louise Brooks plays a bride in 1929’s Pandora’s Box
That era began with the look called “comme le garcon” (or, “like the boy”) – short hair was a big deal – nice girls kept their hair long, as a metaphor for maidenhood. For a woman to chop her hair short was to practically admit she was no longer a virgin. Moreover, they began smoking in public – something no “lady” did.
