Even the annual fête, which formally kicks off the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s yearly Costume Institute exhibit injected pure drama and wonderment on May 9th, 2013 as it celebrated with a punk theme. So, how does this unconventional theme justice and inspire bridal looks? Well… I am a big advocate for brides doing what makes them happy and showcasing their vibrancy and personalities through the makeup and hair. For the past three decades my approach to makeup styles has been heavily inspired by a combination of haute couture and street fashion creations. However, most of my brides are inspired celebrities red carpet looks. So take a look at how this year’s gala punk theme inspired celebrities to leave their usual glowing red carpet beauty looks behind and instead opt for something a tad more experimental.
